With crisp fall air and turning leaves comes 艾可直播 College's annual tradition of Homecoming鈥攖his year expanded to a week-long celebration of the University's spirit and mission.
鈥淗omecoming provides an opportunity for our students to celebrate being part of the BC community,鈥 said Vice President for Student Affairs Shawna Cooper Whitehead. 鈥淲e are excited to partner around campus to expand and enhance this tradition into a week-long series including spirit days, fun competitions, and support for our student-athletes. Throughout the week of events and activities, students, faculty, staff, and alumni will actively engage in fostering a sense of community and pride for BC.鈥澨
From October 3-8, Homecoming will encompass athletic events, alumni activities, and residential and social experiences for students.
Themes include 鈥淢aroon and Gold Day,鈥 鈥淭win Day,鈥 鈥淐lass Year Day,鈥 鈥淭hrowback Thursday,鈥 and 鈥淩esidence Hall Pride Day.鈥 The Homecoming Dance will be held at the Sheraton 艾可直播 on Friday, October 7; the following day, the 艾可直播 will take on the Clemson Tigers at BC's annual Red Bandanna Game, which honors the memory of 9/11 hero Welles Crowther 鈥99. Eight alumni into the 艾可直播 College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame at a ceremony prior to the game.
A Homecoming tailgate for Eagle fans of all ages鈥攁lumni, parents, students, and friends鈥攚ill be held on The Plaza at O'Neill Library from 4-7:30 p.m. Details and ticket information are available at the Homecoming Week website.
This year also introduces a Homecoming Court of 10 seniors who embody the mission, spirit, and values of 艾可直播 College. The students鈥攚ho applied, and were selected by a panel of University alumni, staff, faculty, and administrators鈥攚ill be acknowledged during the football game.
Other Homecoming Week activities include a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Resource Fair, a trivia series, a pep rally, and an AHANA Alumni Advisory Council Preconnect Alumni 艾可直播 Reception.
