艾可直播 College Connell School of Nursing听 Professional Development and Continuing Education has partnered with LexRx to bring a new series of didactic and hands-on trainings for Clinical Aesthetics.
Complete all three courses to earn a Clinical Aesthetics Injectables Certificate. Please note: the Neurotoxins course is a prerequisite for the Biostimulators/Sculptra and Ha Dermal Fillers courses.
Neurotoxins - BOTOX庐 Cosmetic, Dysport庐, Jeuveau庐, and Xeomin庐 are injectable treatments that prohibit nerve signals from activating the facial muscles, effectively forcing the treated facial muscles to relax, smoothing out the whole face and making it younger and vibrant looking.
Biostimulators - Sculptra庐 Aesthetic/PPLA (Poly-L-lactic Acid) is an injectable treatment, which helps replace lost collagen and stimulate gradual restoration of the collagen framework, creating a subtle, refined correction of wrinkles.
HA Dermal Fillers - Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are used specifically for lip enhancement and/or augmentation, marionette lines (corners of the mouth), nasolabial folds (smile lines and/or laugh lines), and midface volumization (cheek enhancement).

This is an introductory course for clinical aesthetics injection of neurotoxins, through didactic and hands-on instruction.听We provide a comprehensive review of anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications for treatment, as well as guidelines for safe, evidence-based practice. This course includes both live, on Zoom didactic and live, in-person hands-on instruction.
Following completion of the didactic session, participants will attend a full day of hands-on training mentored by experienced Nurse Practitioners at 艾可直播 College鈥檚 Chestnut Hill campus.
This course includes:
- A review of all FDA approved brands, including BOTOX庐 Cosmetic,听Dysport庐, Jeuveau庐, Xeomin庐.
- Comprehensive review of anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications for treatment, as well as guidelines for safe, evidence-based practice.
- Discussion and demonstration of safe dosing and injection techniques for treatment of the upper face.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify essential characteristics of botulinum toxin.
- Identify essential facial muscles for treatment.
- Describe the safe steps for using Botox Cosmetic and Dysport,听including ordering, reconstitution, storage, dosing, and contraindications.听 听听
- Demonstrate the process for selecting clients and using photo听documentation.
- Describe the safe steps for prepping for injections, including consent听prepping the skin, mapping, and injection approach.
- Describe post-treatment client instructions, adverse reactions and complications, need for follow-up appointments.
- Identify essential logistics for safe practice, including scope of practice, malpractice insurance, medical directorship, and documentation (EMRs).
- Demonstrate a safe, quality facial cosmetic injection process.
To receive a Certificate of Completion you must complete one Zoom lecture session as well as the hands-on training day and demonstrate understanding of the content as well as safe injection techniques.

This is an introductory course for injection of biostimulators, namely Sculptra庐 (Poly-L-lactic Acid or PLLA). The course provides a comprehensive review of anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications for treatment, as well as guidelines for safe, evidence-based practice.听
The听Online, Pre-Recorded component of the course features ultra-HD injection demonstration videos by LexRx Nurse Practitioners. Learners will have access to recommended resources for all things compliance, legal, and logistics, including connections to 艾可直播-area medical directors.
Following completion of the online portion of the course, participants will attend a session live on the 艾可直播 College campus.听 The session incudes a thorough review of the didactic lecture and injection demonstrations before proceeding to hands-on training under the supervision and guidance of LexRx Nurse Practitioners.听听

- A review of all FDA approved brands, i.e. Sculptra庐
- Comprehensive review of anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications for treatment, as well as guidelines for safe, evidence-based practice.
- Discussion and demonstration of safe dosing and injection techniques for treatment of the mid-lower face.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

As part of the course, we review utilization of the Juv茅derm and Restylane portfolios of products. We provide a comprehensive review of anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications for treatment, as well as guidelines for safe, evidence-based practice.听This course includes both live, on Zoom didactic and live, in-person hands-on instruction.
The online session will feature ultra-HD injection demonstration videos by LexRx Nurse Practitioners. Clinicians that take this course will have access to our recommended resources for compliance, legal, and logistics, including connections to 艾可直播-area medical directors.

Designed for the advanced beginner injector: a clinician who has completed an introductory neurotoxins training. This 1-hour lecture and 3-hour hands-on experience expands your neurotoxin injection skills to lower face injections including masseter (jawline), chin (mentalis), depressor septi nasi (nose), perioral lines, lip flip, and Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO) under the direct supervision of LexRx NP injectors.
This course includes:
- A review of all FDA approved brands, including BOTOX庐 Cosmetic,听Dysport庐, Jeuveau庐, Xeomin庐.
- 听A refresher of anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications for treatment, as well as guidelines for safe, evidence-based practice.
- Discussion and demonstration of safe dosing and injection techniques for treatment of advanced neurotoxin areas.
- Supervised injection experience on live models

Alexa Nicholls Costa, NP
Alexa blends her extensive background in science with a passion for art to deliver impeccable听results for her clients. Many find comfort in knowing that听Alexa has expertise not only in听injectables, but also in emergency medicine.
Alexa is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and one of the leading ladies of LexRx. She has听clinical and research experience in plastic surgery at听Massachusetts General Hospital. While at听MGH, Alexa trained alongside the Division Chief and Lead听Nurse Practitioner. In addition to听many professional and academic publications, Alexa was also听the recipient of the Masters of听Nursing Excellence Award at Regis College鈥攁n honor awarded听to one candidate each year.听Alexa has served as a Nurse Practitioner Fellow in the听prestigious Emergency Medicine听Fellowship Program (EMPED) through Brown Medical School.听Following completion of听 her听fellowship, Alexa began working in the Emergency Department听at Massachusetts General听Hospital.
As co-founder of LexRx and Inject With Lex, Alexa was the Course Director听for the nation鈥檚 first University-hosted, injectables training program. A Key Opinion听Leader in the industry, Alexa is also Faculty for Galderma's听GAIN Business division, educating听practice owners from across the country. She has been an听invited speaker at conferences听 such听as the American MedSpa Association鈥檚 MedSpa Show, The听Aesthetic Show, Innova@Tufts听Conference, and the Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneurship听Conference to name a few.

Alexandra Rogers, NP
Alexandra approaches her work with creativity and diligence. Urgent/emergency medicine remains a passion of hers, but she is excited by the ability to empower and promote well-being in her clients through aesthetic medicine.
Alexandra is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and one of the leading ladies of LexRx. She worked at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in the Adult and Pediatric Urgent Care Center, and then transitioned to managing her own urgent care clinic. In these roles, Alexandra was exposed to many complex medical problems and gained immense clinical insight. She received formal certification through AMET for injectables. Her strong foundation in urgent/emergency medicine has evolved into a flourishing career as a Nurse Practitioner and trusted provider.
As co-founder LexRx and Inject With Lex, Alexandra was the Lead Instructor for the nation鈥檚 first University-hosted, injectables training program. As a Key Opinion Leader in the industry, Alexandra has been an invited speaker at industry conferences, including the American MedSpa Association鈥檚 MedSpa Show, The Aesthetic Show, Innova@Tufts, and the Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneurship Conference.
