Puerto Rico Chapter Map Location Marker

The Puerto Rico Chapter was formally established in 2014 and is home to just under 1,000 alumni, parents, and friends.

This mighty group of °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ is a tight-knit and welcoming community, who frequently gathers for everything from networking, to professional development, to game watches and more!

The presence of °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ in Puerto Rico has been notable since the 80’s; when Clifford Myatt Sr. organized gatherings at the Swiss Chalet. His son,Ìý Clifford Myatt Jr. ‘75, then followed by organizing game watches at Shannan's Pub. Additionally, the relentless recruitment efforts of Hector Viña ‘80 has been key to the successful enrollment of hundreds of outstanding °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥!

Favorite BC Memory: There are so many that it is hard to choose just one! But top on the list are the BC Christmas tree, Marathon Monday, tailgating for football games, and watching the sunrise with other seniors on commencement day. Ìý

Why did you get involved in your local chapter?: BC was an important part of my personal and professional life. I wanted to continue being a part of the BC community and being involved in our local chapter gave me the opportunity to meet and network with other alumni and help current BC students and families on their journey through BC.

What are your local favorites in your city?: Spending the day at the beach, Old San Juan, and dinner at Mario Pagán’s restaurant.

Fun Fact:ÌýI loved BC undergrad so much that I became a double eagle after graduating from BC Law School and then went on to become a BC parent!

Occupation: MD with specialty in Diagnostic Radiology and Subspecialty in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

Favorite BC Memory: BC defeating Notre Dame in 1993.

Why did you get involved in your local chapter?: BC gave me an opportunity to grow not only academically but also personally and spiritually.Ìý I want to promote the school among potential candidates and be a liaison between the school and the alumni community. I also want to create a mentorship program to help recent graduates navigate the professional work environment.

What are your local favorites in your city?: My favorite running route in Puerto Rico is in Old San Juan.Ìý My favorite restaurant is MIDA Cafe.

Fun Fact:ÌýI enjoy running, water sports, and going to the beach with my family.

Favorite BC Memory: I have many good memories and difficult to decide on one. Definitely, the game where BC defeated Notre Dame in 1993 is one of them.

Why did you get involved in your local chapter?: During my years at BC, I was part of the BC PR Club/Association and when the BC Alumi chapter was created, I thought it will be a good opportunity to continue to build strong connection within the BC community, not only for the alumni, but also for our current students and parents. BC has been an instrumental part of what I am now as a professional and person, therefore to be able to give back to BC and support each other as BC taught us is very important to me.

What are your local favorites in your city?: I love going to the beach in the Dorado area.

Fun Fact:Ìý In BC, I studied at CSOM as an Accounting major and decided to take as many classes as I could in drawing and painting which is very different to the accounting path.
