Kate Lingren, LICSW is a clinical social worker in private practice and an activist working against bigotry in all its forms: racism, homophobia, heterosexism, transphobia, sexism, and classism among others. A graduate of Bridgewater State College in 1981, she went on to earn her MSW from °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ University in 1983. After working in the °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ area primarily in medical settings, she moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1990 where she has worked as a social worker in home healthcare, AIDS education, and with battered women. For the past 15 years, Kate has worked in full time private practice, become certified in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and now teaches couple therapy using IFS around the country and in Europe.
