Mookie is a psychotherapist, professor, and researcher – interested in suffering, embodiment, meaning-making, narratives, memory, and ethics.
In terms of practice, Mookie is a psychotherapist in a private practice, which blends narrative therapy, logotherapy, mindfulness traditions, psychoanalytic traditions, and neuroscience psychoeducation. In terms of teaching, he is a Part-Time Faculty for the Graduate School of Social Work at °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ College, teaching clinical courses like Narrative Therapy. In terms of research, Mookie serves as a Research Consultant at °¬¿ÉÖ±²¥ College, for social psychology and neuroscience research at the Morality Lab, and for philosophical psychology initiatives through the Center for Psychological Humanities and Ethics. In terms of leadership, Mookie co-chairs the Psychology and the Other conference and serves as an Associate Editor for its namesake book series with Routledge. Finally, in terms of interdisciplinary spaces, Mookie has given dozens of academic presentations and partnered with organizations including the American Psychological Association, Narrative Therapy Initiative, New England Center for Existential Therapy, Fiat Program of Notre Dame, and other kindred groups.Â
