笔谤别蝉别苍迟别谤:听Rev. David Beckmann, president of Bread for the World
We are in the midst of a world hunger crisis. The sudden and sustained increase in the prices of basic grains and fuel has reduced the already miserable living standard of most of the world's poorest people. This is the worst setback in the world's progress against poverty in decades, and has the potential to provoke a series of political and humanitarian crises. 聽This presentation places the crisis in the context of Catholic and Protestant social teaching, and describes how faith-based groups have impacted legislative action in Washington, how the world should respond today, and how concerned individuals can help.
