Third Annual Daniel J. Harrington, S.J. Lecture
April 7, 2022
ʰԳٱ: Maryanne Confoy, R.S.C.
This lecture proposes a personal, communal, and ecclesial Christian spirituality directed toward developing a contemporary mission of reconciliation. In a context of pandemic loss and disconnectedness, it focuses on the Ignatian understanding of “finding God in all things” and examines ways in which the contemporary seeker or searcher experiences “being found” in times of isolation and darkness. The lecture draws on the writings of Roger Haight, particularly on the theme of the importance of the imagination and the discovery of Resurrection faith-hope in the possible future.
The lecture is accompanied by the presentation of the Alumni Distinguished Service Award.
