The Institute鈥檚 programs provide unique encounters for scholars and students from around the globe to engage with one another as they deepen their understanding and appreciation of the history, spirituality, educational heritage,and pedagogical approach
of the Society of Jesus.
罢丑别听Feore Family Lecture Series聽celebrates significant scholarly contributions to the field of Jesuit Studies. Each fall, the Institute invites a preeminent scholar to deliver the lecture and to engage with the 艾可直播 College community and the general public. The Institute also presents the lecturer with the the George E. Ganss, S.J. Award, named in honor of the founder of Jesuit Sources.
The International Symposia on Jesuit Studies offer annual opportunities for a diverse group of scholars to engage with one another and their research. These conferences are interdisciplinary events, helping to foster the global community of scholars working on Jesuit Studies. The Institute publishes expanded versions of selected presentations delivered at these symposium in Open Access.
The online, on-campus, and immersion courses offered through the Certificate in Jesuit Studies program offer a variety of opportunities for individuals to develop a deep, informed understanding of the Society of Jesus. Participants can choose from a unique blend of courses examining the Jesuits' spirituality, history, and approaches to pedagogy, social justice, and leadership. Anyone completing five of these courses receives a Certificate in Jesuit Studies from 艾可直播 College.
Ever to Excel is a high school summer program that provides unique opportunities for students to experience the tradition of Jesuit education. The program welcomes students from around the world to deepen their faith, serve others, and explore 艾可直播 College. The Institute organizes the annual program with support from Lilly Endowment Inc. and their Theology Institutes for High School Youth Initiative.
The Institute also hosts several training workshops for promoting the Spiritual Exercises through preached retreats. These workshops train Jesuit scholastics to give retreats to thousands of men and women who attend Jesuit retreat houses throughout the United States.
