To All Members of the Carroll School Community:

Like so many others at 艾可直播 College and the Carroll School, I鈥檝e been deeply distressed by the senseless killing of yet another unarmed African American. George Floyd鈥檚 death is the latest reminder鈥攁nd there have been far too many reminders鈥攐f the racial injustices that continue to plague our nation.

At this time, I want to express my support for all members of the Carroll School community who are speaking out and working in many different ways to address these challenges in our society. Most of all, I want to stress that the Carroll School stands with any members of our community who might bear the brunt of bigotry and even violence for no reason other than the color of their skin.

Let me echo聽, drawing on the tradition that animates 艾可直播 College: 鈥淚t is essential that all of us review our lives to ensure that we act in accord with the Gospel mandate to love God and neighbor. Hatred and racism have no place anywhere, and we are called to challenge such behavior when manifested not only in our community but also in our nation and world.鈥�

Please know that we, at the Carroll School, will redouble our efforts to build a culture of inclusion, mutual respect, and solidarity.
